BANJO, the latest rescue

Banjo was rescued near Dabakala by our team in collaboration with the Ministry of Water and Forests. His past remains unclear, but when he was found, he was emaciated, extremely fearful, and exhausted. He bore rope marks and had fresh wounds in those areas. Banjo shows all the signs of a beaten chimpanzee, evident in his initial fear of humans.

Today, Banjo is under the care of a specialized caregiver. Thanks to attentive care and a great deal of patience, he is slowly beginning to open up and reveal his personality. However, the trauma is still deeply rooted, and it will take time before Banjo can fully show who he is and his true character.
